Getting Started
Enter the event/class name at the top and the designer's name at the bottom before or after designing your course.
Adding Jumps
Click and drag any jump icon from the toolbar onto the canvas. Once placed, you can rotate jumps using the rotation handle - this is essential for proper course design!
Available jumps include:
- Single Jump - Standard vertical jump
- Oxer - Wider jump with two horizontal poles
- Triple Jump - Three-pole combination jump
- Liverpool - Jump with water hazard (blue rectangle)
- Cross Rail - Diagonal poles forming an 'X'
- Cavaletti - Ground pole with markers
- Rail - Simple horizontal rail
- Flowerbox - Decorative obstacle
- Text - Add custom text labels
Working with Jumps
- Move - Click and drag any jump to reposition it
- Rotate - Important: Click on a jump to select it, then drag the rotation handle (circular arrow icon above the jump) to rotate it to any angle. This is essential for positioning jumps correctly in your course design.
- Resize - Click on a jump and drag the corner handles (small squares) to resize it
- Delete - Select a jump and press Delete or Backspace
- Copy - Select a jump and press Ctrl+C, then Ctrl+V to paste
- Edit Jump Numbers - Jumps are automatically numbered sequentially. To edit a jump number: click once on the number to select it, then click again on the number to enter edit mode. Type your changes (useful for double jumps like 1a, 1b) and click outside the text when done.
- Edit Text Labels - To edit a text label: click once on the text to select it, then click again on the text to enter edit mode. Type your changes and click outside the text when done. (Note: Pressing Enter creates a new line in the text, it doesn't exit edit mode.)
routeRoute Lines
Click the Route button (route), then click two jumps to draw a dashed line showing the rider's path between them.
- Press Escape to cancel route drawing
- Click the Route button again to turn off route mode
link Grouping
Select multiple jumps (hold Ctrl while clicking) and press Ctrl+G to group them together (link). Use Ctrl+U to ungroup (link_off).
Keyboard Shortcuts
- Ctrl+Z - Undo last action
- Ctrl+G - Group selected objects
- Ctrl+U - Ungroup selected objects
- Ctrl+C - Copy selected object
- Ctrl+V - Paste object
- Ctrl+S - Save as image
- Ctrl+P - Print
- Delete or Backspace - Delete selected object
- Escape - Cancel route drawing
Saving and Printing
- downloadSave as Image - Downloads the course as a PNG file (includes event name and designer)
- saveSave as JSON - Saves your design as a JSON file that can be loaded later
- folder_openLoad Design - Load a previously saved JSON file
- printPrint - Opens a print dialog (includes event name and designer)
